Fire Engineer for Umeå Region Fire Department

The Umeå Region Fire Department works with accident prevention and rescue services in the municipalities of Umeå, Vindeln, and Robertsfors.

The fire department has a full-time station in central Umeå with approximately 90 employees and nine RiB stations with about 150 firefighters on standby, as well as two fire brigades. Together with 16 other municipalities in Norr- and Västerbotten, we are part of the joint rescue management system Rescue Cooperation North.

We are currently in an exciting development phase where we are building another full-time station in Umeå and expanding our workforce over the coming years. In connection with this expansion, we are also conducting a major review of our organization to create the best conditions for conducting our operations now and in the future. We are now looking for you, a future fire engineer, who during a period in the summer wants to contribute to our operations and also try working within one of Sweden's most expansive fire departments.

In addition to interesting tasks, you will also be part of an organization with high ambitions and a strong community. Together, we fulfill a crucial societal function and create a safer future for our residents.

Your Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to independently manage a smaller project and also work on other defined tasks aimed at developing our operations. This may involve creating governing documents or assessing conditions for sub-tasks within both preventive and rescue service operations.

About You

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and enjoys meeting other people. In your work, you are professional, meticulous, and structured.

You are currently undergoing or have recently completed the fire engineering program. We view positively if you are completing the RUB year, but it is not a requirement; personal suitability will be highly valued.

You have a very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish. A driver's license, at least category B, is required.

Additional Information
